ABOUT S.W.A.P AND FOUNDER
Sisters With A Plan Inc. is a grassroots non-profit organization established in the city of Baltimore in 2010. The organization is the brainchild of founder, Veria Horton. Her idea of creating her own housing program was developed from years of service in the housing field as a property manager. She often witnessed several disadvantaged women and families who barely met some of the minimal housing requirements for assistance and placement.
Sisters With A Plan, Inc have several objectives which are expected to be reached with support by city-state government, community organizations, churches, and countless volunteers. We aim to join the league in ending homelessness, not just in Baltimore, but worldwide. It is an epidemic we look forward in conquering. We are prepared to deliver opportunities and education on how to acquire and secure low income affordable housing.
Our services will overlap other underlying factors such as the lack of job readiness skills, lack of trade skills, or need for drug screening and treatment. SWAP aims to develop community relationships and partnerships to ensure our participation in linking individuals to the proper channels. SWAP is committed to the challenge of ending homelessness.
Sisters With A Plan, Incorporation is a recognized 501 (c) (3) non profit organization.
