Veria Horton is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sisters With A Plan, Inc. It was her vision to ensure adequate and proper housing for all, despite their possible burdensome past. Following nine (9) years of working in human services as a property manager, Horton has now chosen to answer her calling by establishing an organization, supporting family housing needs. She presently serves as property manager for the Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis. Horton is a graduate of Baltimore City Public Schools and is earning her Associate’s degree in Human Services where she plans to transfer to Coppin State University to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Social Work. She is a mother of 2 children committed to improving the lives of her family while aiding all who seek to establish a foundation in acquiring their own home.

A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Lenise White is a mother, a servant, a writer, and a teacher at heart who believes that everything has a purpose. Lenise is a graduate of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School and holds her B.A. in English from Coppin State University. She is a firm believer in seeing things the way they are, but working toward the way they should be. Ms. White is a community capacity builder, mentor, youth worker, and visionary specializing in the area of non-profit management and business development. Her love of writing and helping others succeed led her to create Figures & Phrases - a communications consulting company whose mission is to offer literary services to businesses and individuals to aid in branding, business development, and personal empowerment. Through Figures & Phrases, Lenise ultimately seeks to empower people of all ages through writing and literary training.
